Ref Points Updated through Week 5!
Ref Points and Game Scores have been updated through games played on Thursday Nov. 5th. For teams who have brought errors to my attention, these have been corrected. **Please remember to write YOUR NAME and YOUR TEAM NAME on the back of the card so that your team receives the proper credit.** You must reach Zero Ref Points by the end of Regular Season (Dec. 12th). If you miss your assigned AR Game, one point is deducted for the miss. To get this point back you would have to AR 2 more games. Preference will be given to the assigned team. Please join us on November 9th at 6:30 for a simple to understand AR Training course at the LQ Park fields. If you have further questions, please contact Anna Rosa Calkins at arcalk@yahoo.com. Thank you all for volunteering!
Registration is CLOSED.
We have a few spots in some divisions. Please EMAIL Nicole Wesner, our registrar at lqregistrar@yahoo.com to find out availability. She will need to know the players date of birth and gender.
We still have a board opening for volunteer coordinator. This is a vital roles for the region. Anyone interested should contact anielsen443@yahoo.com.
We welcome Margarita Davalos as Field Coordinator. She will be scheduling volunteers for dates and times to line fields (maintain the fields already laid out) and to set out and put away the equipment each Saturday. Send her an email early with your requests for dates and times to get the best available times. She can be reached at margaritadavalos9@hotmail.com. All we ask is one hour per season per family to help maintain and set up the fields.
We are still looking for a volunteer to be the field coordinator for the fields at Colonel Mitchell Paige. Please Contact Margarita Davalos or Andrew Nielsen.

IMPORTANT POLICY CHANGES FOR LA QUINTA PARK DURING SOCCER GAMES
For the safety of everyone involved, and the continuing care of the facilities, we are implementing three new policies during the games and practices. We have been advising people as best we could over the last couple of weeks, but we must now begin a stricter enforcement.
1) No golf carts or low speed vehicles are allowed on the fields during the practice times during the week or at all on Saturdays. This is actually prohibited by La Quinta Municipal codes.
2) No pets are allowed on the fields during AYSO events, which include practices and games. We realize in many instances pets are considered part of the family; however, there are concerns as to the safety and cleanliness during practices and games when there are so many children at the park. With the exception of service dogs, pet owners will be asked to remove their pets from the fields during practices and games. Although dogs are allowed at the park, this policy is implemented to be consistent with other AYSO regions in attempt to provide the safest environment possible for the participants.
3) No E-Z Up style awnings are allowed within 10 feet of fields. This is especially dangerous in between two playing fields where there is little room already. Many instances have occurred where players have collided with the legs of the awnings during games. These awnings cannot be used between fields 1 and 4 or 2 and 5.
Thank you for your support in keeping the fields safe for everyone.
